Prestigio Opens NAS
Prestigio Technologies unveiled today a new product line targeted at mainstream consumer and corporate markets – Network Storage products. Two new products opening the line will soon be available at Prestigio partners’ stores across the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Prestigio line of Network Storage will focus on Network Attached Storage (NAS) solutions which will combine products that provide multi-user data access via local networks. NAS enables users to share large amounts of various data between different devices in Digital Home or Office environments with a high level of security.
Multilevel system of data protection including OS and Data Backup and Recovery allow to fully trust NAS and keep a huge number of important files in one place. For even wider functionality, Network Attached Storage supports flexible configuration by RAID 0, 1, 5, 5+Spare, 10 and JBOD in four different modes. Thus a customer can combine drives with capacities of up to 500GB to provide up to 2ТВ of total storage capacity.
Prestigio NAS devices support TCP/IP, HTTP and even FTP protocols. This provides some alternative ways of network connection (including the Internet). All types of connections support high speeds of data transfer. For easier control, NAS devices support multiple languages and have user-friendly interfaces. NAS is compatible with all most widely used OS like Windows, Linux and Unix.
The first new product opening the brand-new Prestigio NAS line is the NET Drive, an elegant and compact device for personal Internet and Intranet storage of up to 500GB, providing autonomous FTP server capability, web browser management user interface, multi-protocol support for TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP
The second product in the Prestigio NAS line is the Prestigio NAS-540 with four 3.5” SATA HDD, which is capable of offering up to 2TB of storage capacity to cater for all home and corporate storage needs. This device provides for a flexible configuration by RAID 0, 1, 5, 5+Spare, 10 and JBOD, ensuring full support for TCP/IP network transport protocol, as well as CIFS/NFS, HTTP, FTP network file protocols.
