What is LORGAR RANKINGS

LORGAR RANKINGS is a CS2 tournament initiated by LORGAR and produced in partnership with StarLadder. StarLadder has been running esports events since 2001 and has two Counter-Strike Majors under its belt: Berlin 2019 and Budapest 2025.
The tournament runs from 12 March to April 26, 2026. It follows a three-stage format: open national qualifiers feed into a closed online stage, which then narrows the field for a LAN final. For those less familiar with the term, a LAN (local area network) final is an in-person event where all players compete side by side in the same physical venue, under the same conditions, with the same gear provided by LORGAR. You can watch the LORGAR RANKINGS in local languages with streamers from each of the 18 countries. Prepare!
Stage 1: Open National Qualifiers (March 12-15, online)
Registration opens February 26. The format is Single Elimination: Bo1 (best-of-one map per match), with Bo3 deciders (best-of-three maps in the final match of each bracket). The top teams from each national qualifier advance to the closed qualifier.
Stage 2: Closed Qualifier (March 20 – April 10, online)
The best teams from the Open Qualifiers move into a structured online competition. It begins with a GSL group stage that feeds into a Double Elimination (Bo3). Four teams come out of this stage with spots at the LAN Finals.
Stage 3: LAN Finals (April 25-26, offline studio, EU Schengen area)
Eight teams compete in a two-day offline studio setting: the four Closed Qualifier winners and four teams invited directly based on the European VRS rating (snapshot date: April 6). The format is Single Elimination, Bo3, with a total prize pool of $50,000.
The exact studio location and broadcast details will be announced on lorgar.com/rankings and StarLadder’s social channels.

Why LORGAR RANKINGS matter
Counter-Strike 2 runs on Valve Regional Standings (VRS), the official league table that determines which teams get invited to the biggest event – Majors, where millions of dollars are at stake. Teams earn ranking points by competing in Valve-approved tournaments.
Too few regional tournaments carry VRS status in Eastern Europe, which means fewer chances to climb the rankings.
LORGAR RANKINGS changes that for 18 countries at once. As a Valve Tier-2 event, every match counts toward VRS standings. For teams across the region, this is a direct shot at ranking points, competitive experience, and visibility for larger invitations.

Community prizes
LORGAR first of all is a community of gamers. And for gamers, during LORGAR RANKINGS, a set of prizes will be played out. The raffle launches on March 16, and the prize pool includes a LORGAR Gaming PC (the same one used on the Main Stage during the Grand Final, signed by winning team), LORGAR Racing Flex, compatible with multiple racing rigs, suitable for ages 7 to 99, and a selection of LORGAR peripherals: mice, keyboards, headsets, microphones, and webcams.
