ASBIS completes warehouse in Kazakhstan

ASBIS completes warehouse in Kazakhstan and increases its ability to store and ship by 20%

ASBIS Group (WSE: ASB) – a leading Value Add Distributor, developer, and provider of ICT, IoT products, solutions, and services to the markets of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) – has completed the construction of a new 20,000 m² logistics and warehouse facility in Kazakhstan.

This expansion increases the warehouse space of ASBIS Group’s local distribution centers by around 20%, bringing the total area to 60,000 m². It is worth mentioning that each local subsidiary operates its own warehouse facilities to ensure a continuous supply to its local customers.

Approximately 3,000 m² of the newly built facility will be allocated for Breezy, which aligns with the strategy of the company to strengthen its position in Kazakhstan.

The new warehouse space will be equipped with a state-of-the-art Warehouse Management System (WMS) for advanced management of warehouse operations, covering goods receipt, storage, inventory management, order picking, and shipping. It will also feature a Transportation Management System (TMS) to provide comprehensive management of logistics and transportation processes. These two systems will improve warehouse management accuracy, cost efficiency, and customer service. Furthermore, modern robotic solutions, such as cleaning robots, will be implemented.

We are currently transferring our inventory to the newly built facility in Kazakhstan. This is a very modern space that will serve not only as a warehouse but also partly adapted to the needs of Breezy, which is growing very well in Kazakhstan. We have planned to implement advanced solutions aimed at optimizing processes, increasing order picking accuracy, improving warehouse space and resource utilization, and consequently reducing costs,” said Serhei Kostevitch, CEO of ASBIS Group.
