ASBIS strengthens its presence in West Africa
ASBIS Group (WSE: ASB) – a leading Value Add Distributor, developer, and provider of ICT, IoT products, solutions, and services to the markets of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), has launched two new local distribution centers – one in Accra (Ghana) and the second in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire) – strengthening its operational presence in West Africa.
These are ASBIS’s first warehouses in this rapidly developing African region. The facilities, each approximately 400 m² with potential expansion to several thousand m², will primarily serve the local markets of Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire. The warehouses are equipped with ASBIS’s proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS) – an innovative warehouse management solution that optimizes operations, reduces errors and cuts costs.
ASBIS currently operates four main logistics hubs (Czech Republic, UAE, South Africa, Georgia), with total global warehouse space, including local facilities, at approximately 71,000 m². The new investments align with the company’s operational expansion in emerging markets.
Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire are two of West Africa’s fastest-growing markets, with GDP growth of 6.5% and 7.2% respectively in 2025. Both countries are experiencing rapid digital infrastructure development – Ghana with 70% internet penetration, and Côte d’Ivoire with ambitious 5G and data center investments. The WECA region (West and Central Africa) attracts global investors through fintech, e-commerce and mobile money booms, driving demand for advanced ICT solutions.
Serhei Kostevitch, CEO of ASBIS Group, commented: “We see tremendous potential in rapidly digitizing West Africa. Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire are stable markets with high growth potential and rising demand for ICT technologies. Our new local logistics centers will bring us closer to customers, accelerate deliveries and better support partners across West Africa. So far, we serve retail customers and many resellers in this region, we will work to expand our customer base in this region.”
