GIGABYTE Server Motherboards Ready for New Intel® Xeon® E-2200 Processor
GIGABYTE is proud to announce the readiness of our server motherboards for Intel’s new Xeon® E-2200 Processors for Servers, which are ideal for building entry level workstation or server systems.
The new processors are socket compatible with the previous generation of Xeon® E-2100 Series Processors, utilizing the same microarchitecture and retaining the same feature set such as dual channels of 2666Mhz DDR4 memory, PCIe Gen 3.0 support and PCH functions like USB 3.1 and SATA III ports, but now feature new SKUs with higher core / thread counts (now up to 8 cores / 16 threads) and higher base / turbo frequencies (with up to 5.0GHz turbo clock on a single core), to deliver improved single-threaded and multi-threaded performance in workstation and server applications.
