ASBIS will double the space of distribution center in Prague
This will double the area of the company's existing warehouse in the city, which supplies the entire region of CEE and FSU. The new distribution center is currently under construction in line with ASBIS plans and specifications, and will be handed over to the company by the end of this year.
ASBIS operates from two distribution centers located in Prague and Dubai. Doubling the warehouse space of the Prague distribution center means that the total warehouse space of ASBIS distribution centers will be close to 19,000 m2. In addition, each of ASBIS subsidiaries has its own warehouse space, ensuring the continuity of ongoing deliveries to customers.
The new distribution center is located within Prague's borders, on the city's ring road, only 10 km from the historic center. The location allows easy access to international highways and the airport. The site can also be easily reached by public transport, which is convenient for employees.
As part of the signed contract, the warehouse and office space of ASBIS CZ will also significantly increase, which will amount to nearly 2,710 m2 (1,850 m2 currently).
Costas Tziamalis, Management Board Member and IR and Risk Director of ASBISc Enterprises Plc, commented:
“ASBIS not only thinks positively about 2022, but also looks ahead. The last years have shown us that the IT sector is developing very dynamically, and ASBIS leverages on these developments. The following years will certainly be a continuation of this trend. The needs for technology keeps growing and ASBIS will make sure that it delivers to both the corporate segment and the end consumers the products they require on time and at the most efficient way. This is what we have been doing the last 30 years, and this is what we plan for the years to come. Our investment into a larger facility is a solid proof that the company has moved on to a different level and will get stronger and stronger. The development of our distribution center in Prague is crucial for us from the point of view of further growth."
