Under the signed agreement, ASBIS Africa will introduce to the South African market a comprehensive range of simracing products from SIMAGIC, including wheel bases, steering wheels, pedals, shifters, and handbrakes.

Recent market research conducted by the international research agency Deep Market Insights highlights that by 2034, the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of this market in South Africa will be close to 15%, with the segment’s value expected to rise to nearly USD 31 million. The strongest category is projected to be accessories, while racing pedals are expected to remain the most attractive sim racing hardware segment, recording the fastest growth over the forecast period.

Sergei Kostevitch, CBDO of Gaming, commented: “We are steadily expanding our South African offering with products that are on a growth trajectory. We are now adding sim racing products, which will significantly strengthen our gaming proposition in the South African market. We see very strong local interest in these products, and market research indicates that this interest will continue to grow. Our ambition is to benefit from the development of this market segment in South Africa and around it.
