ASBIS joins forces with Cyprus government and Plug and Play as founding partner to scale local tech ecosystem
ASBIS Group (WSE: ASB) – a leading Value Add Distributor, developer, and provider of ICT, IoT products, solutions, and services to the markets of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), is proud to announce its role as one of the four founding corporate partners of Plug and Play Cyprus.
This landmark initiative, launched in collaboration with the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, establishes the world’s largest innovation platform and venture capital firm in Limassol. As a strategic partner, ASBIS will play a pivotal role in identifying, mentoring, and scaling high-potential Cypriot startups, bridging the gap between local innovation and the global marketplace.
Empowering the next generation of tech leaders
ASBIS’s involvement goes beyond financial support; the company acts as a dedicated corporate partner to Plug and Play. The primary objective is to scout for promising Cypriot startups that can leverage the acceleration program to achieve rapid growth within the local environment and successfully expand into international markets.
“Cyprus is rapidly emerging as a premier European startup hub, and ASBIS is committed to fueling this transformation,” said Tziamalis Constantinos, Deputy CEO of ASBIS Group. “By combining our extensive global distribution network and market expertise with Plug and Play’s world-class acceleration model, we are providing Cypriot entrepreneurs with a clear pathway to global scale.”
