ASBIS Africa achieves TAPA FSR certification, reinforcing commitment to security and operational excellence

ASBIS Africa, a subsidiary of ASBIS Group (WSE: ASB) – a leading Value Add Distributor, developer, and provider of ICT, IoT products, solutions, and services to the markets of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), has recently achieved the TAPA FSR (Facility Security Requirements) certification, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to operational excellence and security.

The TAPA FSR certification is an internationally recognized standard that verifies the security measures in place at warehouses and facilities that handle high-value technology products. By obtaining this certification, ASBIS demonstrates that its facilities adhere to stringent physical security protocols, robust access controls, and comprehensive risk management practices to safeguard products during storage.

ASBIS places a strong emphasis on security, compliance, and trust throughout its operations. This focus not only guarantees that partners and customers receive products with the highest levels of safety and reliability but also complements its existing Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) accreditation, reinforcing ASBIS’s standing as a leading technology distribution partner in Africa.

Alexey Souslau, COO of ASBIS Group, stated, “Achieving TAPA FSR certification is a significant milestone for our logistics and warehousing operations. The standard confirms that we have met rigorous physical security measures, implemented structured risk assessment processes, and maintain consistent security management across our facilities. Our warehouse infrastructure, access controls, monitoring systems, and staff procedures have all been validated against internationally recognized benchmarks by external auditors. We see this as a natural extension of the operational discipline we apply across our distribution network, and a direct investment in the reliability and security our vendors and customers expect from ASBIS“.
