ASBISc Strenghtening its Own Brands Division. More Own Brands Sales Expected to Diversify Revenue Breakdown

ASBISc Enterprises Plc, a leading distributor of IT products in emerging markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is strengthening its own brands division. The Company appointed Mr. Peter Edinger as the Executive Vice President of Retail Sales & Marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa. New executive will be responsible for the Sales & Marketing management and market-growth strategies of ASBISc own brands Canyon and Prestigio.

“Peter’s appointment for position of Executive Vice President of Retail Sales & Marketing for Europe is a part of our plan to strongly develop our own brands sales, as a part of broader strategy of diversification of revenues and increase profitability. One of Peter’s areas will be expansion and regional market presence with focus on Western Europe. Peter's broad experience, his background and deep customer relationship skills will benefit Canyon and Prestigio to be positioned as a strong supplier for a wide range of IT and Consumer Electronics and will enable the channel to be successful in revenue and margins. We feel that with his experience he will bring great value to ASBISc.” – says Siarhei Kostevitch, CEO and chairman at ASBISc Enterprises PLC.

"It is perfect time to join ASBIS group as the Company is now even stronger than before the world’s financial crisis and the market gives more opportunities for good suppliers. Our goal is to provide an excellent ratio between functionality, design for customers and profitability for the Company. On the higher level we want to raise revenues from own brands – Prestigio and Canyon – so that in 2-3 years their contribution in ASBISc total revenues will grow from about 5 percent now to about 10 percent.” – said Peter Edinger, Executive VP Retail Sales & Marketing for Europe at ASBISc Enterprises PLC.

Mr. Peter Edinger is 55 years old. He has held a number of executive positions in technology and channel-oriented worldwide operating companies. For two years he has been Western Digital’s VP sales EMEA region. Before that he was working for ATI Technologies for 11 years (including more than 4 years as VP / MD EMEA). He also held senior positions at Sanyo, NEC and Media Vision.
