Analysts positively evaluate the Company’s decision to enter the new market segments with Prestigio products

ASBIS conquers business segment with new Prestigio products

Mr Jakub Viscardi, an expert of the brokerage house DM IDMSA, notes that portfolio diversification is the right strategy; and the high results of ASBIS operations prove that the company launches the new products on the basis of the market build-up and in line with the current trends and demand. It is believed that Prestigio devices and solutions for segments different than consumer will provide the company with opportunities to achieve higher margins. 

Revenue from Prestigio and Canyon sales has started to grow considerably in 2012 when the first Prestigio tablet PCs and (after a few months) smartphones were launched. In the third quarter of 2013 revenue from sales of the products under own ASBIS’ brands were up by 215 per cent YoY. Its contribution to the total revenue of ASBIS group reached 29 per cent in comparison with 9.4 per cent for the same period a year ago.

Prestigio MultiPad Visconte is the first product that was developed for the business segment. It has functionality of traditional PC or notebook and at the same time is half cheaper. Besides, the new tablet is powered by OS Windows 8.1 which is an additional advantage with regard to the fact that Microsoft will stop supporting Windows XP on April 8, 2014. Another new solution for business and education is Prestigio MultiBoard, an All-In-One PC Interactive White Board with among other advantages extremely scratch-resistant screens available in up to 84-inch sizes.
