ASBIS Announces New Manufacturer – Iomega
January 30, 2003 – Iomega International SA, the European headquarters of Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a global leader in reliable portable data storage, today announced changes in its distribution network as a result of a partnership agreement with ASBISс Enterprises Limited (ASBIS).
The agreement, signed by representatives of the companies on December 13, 2002, envisages Iomega products being supplied to Russia, CIS, and Eastern Europe. With a history of development and production of digital data storage and transfer devices spanning more than 20 years, Iomega is currently looking to expand its business in these regions.
“Our primary requirements when looking to appoint a new distributor were strong market position and a well-developed partner network. ASBIS serves over 6,000 customers, which, combined with its extensive knowledge of local markets and strong international team, enabled the company to get the status of an Iomega partner”, said Simon Chamberlain, sales director, focused markets, Iomega International S.A. “We pin great hopes on ASBIS, which has an efficient distribution network and extensive distribution expertise based on one-stop-shop strategy. The agreement with ASBIS will help Iomega strengthen its positions not only in Russia but also in CIS and Eastern Europe,” added Mr. Chamberlain.

As an Iomega partner, the company intends to expand its offering of external and internal drives to provide value for Iomega product portfolio dealers.
