ASBIS to Distribute ADAPTEC’s Entire Range of Solutions Across Eastern Europe

Adaptec and ASBISc Enterprises Limited (ASBIS), one of Eastern Europe’s largest suppliers of computer components and solutions, today announced an agreement to distribute Adaptec’s entire portfolio of storage, networking and desktop solutions across Europe.

With offices in more than 35 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa (EMEA), Asbis provides Adaptec with a strategic distribution partner in some of the world’s fastest-growing regional economies. 

A major part of this agreement will focus on distributing Adaptec’s market-leading family of RAID products, including Adaptec’s new Serial ATA RAID card being launched at CeBIT on March 17, 2003. 

Russ Johnson, VP of sales for Adaptec in EMEA, commented on the agreement: “Eastern Europe is an important market for Adaptec. Asbis brings unique capabilities, including technical depth, geographic reach and local knowledge, which help serve Adaptec customers in this region. This strategic cooperation with Asbis will rapidly extend the reach of our award-winning and market-leading products and solutions into a dynamic and fast-growing market.”

Asbis will also start distributing Adaptec’s leading desktop portfolio including its video, software, USB2, FireWire-1394 and Mac products.  The agreement will include Adaptec’s new easy-to-use wireless networking products for the small office/home office also being introduced in Europe during CeBIT.
