Promise Offers Two New SuperTrak SAS/SATA RAID Controllers

Promise Technology Inc., a leading supplier of sophisticated RAID storage solutions for enterprise and SMB customers, announced general availability of the SuperTrak EX8658 and SuperTrak EX8654 as two additional family members in its latest generation of SuperTrak EX host-based SAS/SATA RAID controllers.

These additions to Promise's SuperTrak EX family, like the previously announced members are built on a unified code base that spans both SuperTrak and VTrak product lines. They are also presented under a consistent management environment. Promise's WebPAM Pro allows an administrator to manage RAID storage attached to the SuperTrak  EX RAID controllers or integrated into Promise's Vtrak E-Class RAID subsystems from anywhere on the network.

The SuperTrak EX  8654 and 8658 support RAID 5 and RAID 6 and are designed for data protection for entry-level and midrange server platforms running all popular Linux distributions as well as Windows.  Customers with applications such as disk-to-disk backup, video capture, post production and database applications now have the ability to scale their data protection solutions even more cost effectively by combining the reliability, performance and ease of use in the SuperTrak EX 8654 or 8658 with Promise's VTrak E-Class JBOD expansion enclosures.
